Policies and Procedures

The California State University (CSU) law enforcement policies are developed using Lexipol, a policy management system grounded in constitutional law and recognized best practices. Lexipol is considered the industry standard and is utilized by the majority of law enforcement agencies across California. These policies are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in state and federal laws, as well as evolving best practices in law enforcement. As updates are made, the most current versions will be published on this webpage.

Senate Bill 978 (January 1, 2020) requires law enforcement agencies to post policies conspicuously on their website that would otherwise be available to the public if a public information request was made pursuant to the California Public Records Act.
